Samhain & Swine Flu
The best laid plans…. I thought I have all the bases covered for my Samhain ritual last night, Wrong! I got a call Thursday night, my sister was very sick with swine flu. She has some other health problems so it is pretty serious. She is in the hospital, she lives in St. Louis, so Friday morning, I was driving out to good ole St Louie. Her family are very Christian, so I really did not feel right about Samhain at their house. So last night I did a very very shortened version of my ritual, after everyone went to bed. I was in the family room, and had the room to myself, so I was able to light a couple of candles and say a few words, but that was about it. Oh well there is always next year! So I did not get to use my scrying mirror, or burn the bad things, or even have pictures of my deceased relitives & friends, but I was there for my sister.
