My New Favorite Toy
Went off to physical therapy for the first time this morning. Not too bad, they took off the casty thing and rotated my ankle for a bit, then I had to walk. Not as painful as I thought it might be – although they gave me the regimine and I think over the next 6 weeks it will get painful! My husband drove me, he does not have to fly out until Friday, so I got him home for the next couple of days.
On the way home, we stopped at Target, and I got to use one of those battery operated wheelchair/carts for the first time, it was sort of fun, in a weird way – everyone got out of my way! But on to the topic at hand – while we were at the store, I bought a “LIVESCRIBE” pen. It is a pen that records what you write. There is a little camera that follows what you write and then stores it and lets you upload it to your computer. I think that this will be great for my Book of Shadows! I can write and in a journal and then keep a copy in my computer too. The only thing is that you have to use their paper – sort of expensive, but the pen came with a sprial notebook, and I bought a set of 2 lined journals to go with it. So I am re-writing my BOS to go into the new journal. Not really all that bad, becuase I like this new journal better then what I had been using – typing into WORD and the printing it out. I always felt guilty that I was not writing it out, but I was using 2 BOS’s a big formal one and then a smaller one of moon rites and such, so it was easier to use the computer – but now I can do both! So the pen has become my new favorite toy (I have had it for 2 whole hours), I have been writing all such of stuff, just to play with it. My husband also thinks that it is really cool, so he is also using it and may be getting his own soon. I will have my new Full Moon rite written for next week, I am looking for things to write!
