New Ritual Book
Got a new book that is just rituals throughout the year, I have re-written my Litha celebration based on some of this new information. I think I was burning too many things! Once I get it all typed up I will post it here. Mentioned in this book is a “Crone” ritual; they do not give specifics, but I think I will research this a little further. I am at the crone stage of life and rather then trying to hang on to my youth, I want to celebrate my achievements and wisdom. Also I was reading in the book “Witches Bible” about a “Three Goddess” Ritual, it is based on the Maiden, Mother, Crone theme. It sounds really exciting; I may write up my own version of this and do a ritual at some point in the future. The one in the book is for a whole coven, so I will need to work on adapting it to a “solo” celebration.
Did not really get time to work on any rituals today – very busy, it was really nice outside today so we did a lot of work on the yard, house, and cars. Hubbys’ car needed an oil change, then we went to the recycling center and got rid of a bunch of aluminum. Once we got home, the lawn needed to be cut and fertilized, and then I needed to vacuum the screen porch, and clean the windows. The holly needed to be re-planted – I decided that just out the door of the screen porch was where it was telling me to put it, so I needed to do A LOT of prepping of the site. There had been a rose bush there like 15 years ago, but it went wild and ended up with no flowers; only thorns, so we took it out. Since then the area has had some grass and weeds growing there. It took over an hour and a half just to get the site ready to take the plant – but it is in the ground now! Then the cars needed to be vacuumed, and washed. Once that was done, I needed to weed the garden – luckily did not need to water it, it has been raining almost everyday. Cooked brats and chicken on the grill to be used for dinner later, and cooked some Italian sausage for lunch. After lunch I washed the bed linens and blankets. Finally about 4:30 rested for a little while before starting dinner (Paella – yummy)! After dinner cleaned up and went for a walk. The day went really fast but no time for Wicca!
